Plows and Plowing Book

That’s me plowing on the front cover with my 1951 John Deere A. This tractor was bought by my parents in 1954, a year before I was born. In 1974, our family farming operations were discontinued and I purchased the tractor. It has been with me my whole life.

In the photo above, my nine year old son, Damian, is plowing with the same tractor. I started plowing with this tractor and a plow just like this one, at age eight. This book is a reflection of my forty-two years of plowing.

After writing a few magazine articles, I felt in order to share my knowledge of plows more fully; I would have to write a book. Plows & Plowing is the result! I wasn’t guaranteed the book would be successful, I had just hoped to sell enough books to at least break even! It has sure changed life around our household though - the words plow, plow book, and plowing are spoken many times daily. We are very pleased to hear that many folks have enjoyed reading it.
